Some History
Mount Beacon Fire Tower was built in 1931 on the site of an earlier structure and was used by the State of New York to spot fires for five decades.

The Progress
On June 22, 2013, the Mt. Beacon Fire Tower Restoration Committee proudly hosted the Grand Reopening of the Historic Mt. Beacon Fire Tower!
Over 60 people attended this ceremony which took place of the base of this historic Hudson Valley Iconic structure! The late legendary Pete Seeger, musician composer David Aram and Hudson Valley story teller Jonathan Kruk, all took part in this memorable grand reopening ceremony! |
The Views
Our Fire Tower has a range of view of approximate 75 Miles or greater in clear weather and has been a treasured hiking destination for years
